At last week’s Choice One’s Sidney Charity Cup, brave adventurers gathered to conquer the jungle of competition—all for a great cause. Yet one “fearless” explorer, the City of Sidney’s Lori Werling (pictured, left), was ready for an emergency exit when she encountered several deadly (okay, rubber) snakes during the event.
Lori, a self-proclaimed ophidiophobe (fancy for “nope, nope, nope”), almost abandoned the temple ruins rather than pose with a slithery impostor. But despite the risk of such a perilous encounter, a whole jungle’s worth of you showed up to support the Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Because of your generosity, the event raised $6,990 for the two causes, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
The night saw a fierce competition that exposed the most accurate snake tossers (not at Lori) to be the Village of Russia (Mark Shappie, Alex Seger, and Choice One’s Kyle Siegrist and Derek Luersman), who claimed the competition’s top prize. Congrats to our victorious explorers, and thanks to everyone who braved the wild to support MVDSA and RMHC! Finally, special thanks to Lori, who, despite her fears, turned a potentially slithery situation into a moment of courage and camaraderie, making our jungle adventure even more memorable.

Project Manager, Max Keeley recently took his 5-year anniversary trip and traded the Ohio rainy weather for some sunshine!
My girlfriend of nearly five years, Suzanna, and I traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for her spring break. We spent six nights at Couples Tower Isle, an all-inclusive, adults-only resort. Most of our time was spent basking in the sun by the ocean or pool. The ocean water was incredibly warm and pleasant, so we ended up swimming there more often than in the pool.
The people of Jamaica are incredibly kind and take great pride in their culture and country. It was wonderful to experience both the beautiful scenery and the rich culture of the Jamaican people. Their hospitality and kindness were truly appreciated.
One evening, we had a fantastic private beach dinner just for the two of us. We also hiked Dunn's River Falls, where I filmed a marriage proposal while Suzanna, unaware of the moment, humorously washed the gravel out of her water shoes like a Victorian peasant. We absolutely loved Jamaica and will return for more adventures after exploring more of the Caribbean!

Thanks to all who participated and donated to support Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association and United Way of Logan County. Together we donated $7,500 to 2 great charities! Congratulations to CTL Engineering for bringing home the trophy!
Loveland Charity Cup 2023
Thanks to all who participated and donated to support Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank and the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati. Together we donated $20,260 to 2 great charities! This donation will provide over 150,000 diapers to help over 2,800 families and help fund the DSAGC’s holiday party. Congratulations to J.K. Meurer for bringing home the trophy!

Together we reached our goal to help Sweet Cheeks buy 150,000 diapers and fund the DSAGC’s holiday party.! Congratulations to MI Homes for bringing home the trophy!

Thanks to all who participated and supported Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank at out annual Charity Cup! Together we raised $19,455 to help purchase 120,000 diapers for families in need in the Cincinnati region. Congratulations to CTL Engineering for winning the Man on the Moon bucketball tournament!

Loveland Choice One Charity Cup 2019 is in the books! Congratulations to the Village of Blanchester for winning the bucketball tournament! Huber General Contracting came in second. Thanks to our amazing clients in the Cincinnati area we were able to donate $21,780 to Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank. That’s a total of 181,250 diapers for babies in need!
