Position Summary:
As a Civil CAD Technician Intern, you will play a crucial role in our civil engineering team by preparing topographic survey data for design. Your responsibilities will focus on detailing cad drawings of existing site conditions within AutoCAD Civil3d to support the design process.
We are seeking either a college student majoring in engineering technology or a high school senior enrolled in a vocational school focused on pre-engineering and/or CAD. The candidate should have the ability to work part-time from our Sidney office.
Key Responsibilities:
Survey Data Cleanup: Process and prepare topographic survey data received from field crews.
CAD Drafting: Use AutoCAD to create accurate drawings based on survey data existing utility plans, and other relevant information.
Quality Assurance: Review and verify data accuracy to ensure reliable design inputs.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and other team members to meet project requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Ability to work part-time (schedule flexible) between the hours of 7:00am-4:30pm.

Choice One employees have flexibility to work from home when needed, however, all of our employees are regularly onsite. We believe being together in person enhances the culture that we worked to create and that we love.
Our co-ops get a chance to learn both surveying and design in their time here. We do our best to give our co-ops real-world civil engineering experience and get them involved in project design, field walks, attending bid openings, etc. Apply early! These spots fill up quickly!
