GAME NIGHT!

Choice One's Charity Cup is going virtual! We've taken our annual fundraising event
to a virtual game show. We’ll be supporting two great charities with online game
competitions like Pictionary, Fact Match, and Name that Tune/Movie, all made possible
by virtual host Go Remote.

Help us meet our fundraising goal of $7,200 during the event for two great charities:
Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
If you would like to donate, check back for instructions how.

Proceeds from the Choice One Charity Cup fund the Annual Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association Picnic at Young’s Jersey Dairy, where families have the opportunity to share and talk with other families and enjoy delicious food and free access to mini-golf, batting cages, and more! It it a great opportunity for families to connect.

The MVDSA began in the late 1970s, when several parents of children with down syndrome began to understand the need for a way to support one another. They joined to form a group to provide information, resources and support to individuals with down syndrome and their families. The grassroots endeavor grew from a small parent movement to a nonprofit organization supporting more than 250 families in the Miami Valley. Any additional funds will be used to sponsor a room at the Ronald McDonald house in Dayton. Every year, thousands of families with seriously ill children find much needed comfort at the Dayton Ronald McDonald House and at the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Dayton Children’s Hospital and inside Emmett’s Place at Miami Valley Hospital.

Families stay anywhere from one night to several months, with the average length of stay being 12 nights. The cost to provide a 24- hour stay is approximately $150. While they suggest a nightly donation of $15, no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Supporting our Adopt a Room program with an annual gift helps bridge that gap and makes sure our doors are always open to families in need.
